Nordenskiöld Lodge

Nordenskiöld Lodge lies on the rock strewn shore of Billefjorden and next to the mighty Nordenskiöld Glacier. It is the farthest north you can reach by motorized vehicle in Spitsbergen – any further north and it’s either skis or dog sled. There is no running water or electricity, wood is used to heat the cabin and drinking water is harvested from the melting glacier. There is no TV or Wi-Fi, just unparalleled Arctic views. 5 comfortable bedrooms also come with a communal sitting room, kitchenette and indoor toilet. Warm up in the wood sauna after a long day’s snowmobiling and, as the night descends, you have a soft pillow and warm duvets with which to wrap up in, as you take in the heavenly view of the blue glacier.
